Scholarships for Students

Two SRKR students were given scholarships worth Rs.25000/- instituted in the name of Former Professor Ms. Geetharaj by the 1984-87 batch students. These scholarships were given to the students with good academic record and poor financial status. These scholarships were given to III Year Civil student Ms. Srivallika and III Year ECE student Ms. Satvika. TTD Annamacharya Project Director Smt. Shobaraj, who was the sister of Late. Geethraj, lauded the efforts of the alumni in giving these scholarships. College Vice President Sri. SV Rangaraju, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju and representatives of the alumni association participated in this event.

Independence Day Celebrations at SRKR

The Independence Day Celebrations were conducted in a grand manner at SRKR Engineering College. Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju had hoisted the tricolour with honour and respect. Speaking on this occasion Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju garu had explained various key moments of the Independence and requested the staff and students to keep up the spirit of Independence alive. Vice-President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju had asked the staff and students to work hard to keep up the pride of the country and institution. The management facilitated the staff and students who had rendered excellent services in their respective fields. Certificates were distributed to the students who excelled in various competitions conducted on the occasion of 'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'.

SRKREC Holds Rally to Celebrate Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

SRKR Engineering college had held a massive rally with 5000 staff and students from college to Alluri Seetharamaraju statue on the occasion of 'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Speaking on this occasion SRKR Secretary and Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma had said that around 50 hoardings of prominent freedom fighters will be installed in Bhimavaram town on the occasion of 75 Years of Indian Independence. SRKR College in association with Women Empowerment Cell and NSS had been conducting many programmes from the last 10 days in celebrating this jubilant occasion and it is the duty of everyone to remember the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and army personnel in this august moment. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju, NSS In charge Dr. Krishna Chaitanya, NSS Coordinator Sri. Prasad Raju, staff and students took part in this occasion.

Basketball Competitions on the Occasion of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav

SRKR Engineering College Physical Education Department had conducted Basketball competitions on the occasion of 'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' to various colleges in Bhimavaram. Speaking on this occasion, Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that sportspersons should show patriotism towards the country along with the sportive spirit. These competitions were being held for two days in which DNR College had emerged as winner in B Team and as runner in A team. Cash Awards, Mementoes and National Flags were being distributed to the players on this occasion. Physical Education Dept Staff Dr. Harimohan, Ms. Sarika, Mr. Ramaraju took part in this event.

War Martyr's Families Felicitated

SRKR Engineering College in collaboration with NSS Unit and Women Empowerment Cell had felicitated the War Martyr's families and the army personnel who were injured in line of duty on 11th August, 2022 on the occasion of 'Azaadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav'. Speaking on this occasion, Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that it is the duty of everyone to recognize the efforts of the martyrs and other army personnel sacrifices. Havaldar A. Trumurthulu, G. Balaji, A. Venkata Lakshmi, U. Anuradha were being felicitated. Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju, Retired Sargent T. Bhogeswara Rao, U. Raju, District Sainik Welfare Officer Mr. Prasada Rao, Dr. P. Bhuvaneshwari, R. Krishna Chaitanya took part in this noble occasion.
