Faculty of Civil Engineering Department Mr. Penupothula Raju has been awarded with "International Engineering Educator" Degree from IGIP Austria (Consultative Status with UNESCO). The degree has been presented by Vice President Dr.Axel Zafoschnig on 10-01-2021 at 6 pm.
Mr. P. Raju is one among the 19 faculty from different institutes in India who is conferred with this degree. The degree has been awarded due to the two year long journey with IUCEE (Indo Universal Collaboration for Engineering Education) and after the completion of a 3 phase certification process.

High Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) equipment has been set up at the Water, Environment and Technology (WET) Centre on campus on 24th December 2020. The equipment can be used to identify the mnutest of pesticides and chemical residues in water. The HPLC equipment worth 25 Lakh has been procured as part of Europen Union (EU) - India Project sponsored by Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India.

Jagapathi Raju garu, Dean (R&D) and EU-India Project Investigator Dr. PARK Raju garu presided over the event. Civil Dept HOD Dr. A. Subrahmanyam Raju, Dr. Sita RamiReddy, Dr. KM Ganesh, Dr. T Rambabu, Dr. Raghuram, Dr. Suribabu, N Siva Kishan, Jeevan and other faculty were present at the event.
Moganti Venkata Someswara Rao, Assistant Professor of Physics Department, SRKREC has been awarded with PhD from Andhra University for his thesis titled "Fabrication and Characterisation of Optimised Electro-spun Titanium Dioxide and Composite Nano Fibres for Energy Applications" under the guideship of Dr. PSV Subba Rao, Research Director, Andhra University.

SRKREC secured 2nd place in the top 10 colleges in the state in the ranking survey 2020 conducted by Times Engineering Institute. At national level, the college stood at 62nd place, stood 2nd in the research category in the state and 4th in the state in the infrastructure category.
The Ministry of Education (previously called MHRD)'s flagship programme UBA (Unnat Bharat Abhiyan) has selected about 2160 Higher Educational Institutions including Engineering Colleges to reach out the fruits of technology to the 6 lakh villages of India. SRKREC was amongst the first phase of institutions selected to carryout outreach activities. SRKREC has adopted Kalla, Kallakuru, Jakkaram, Peda Amiram and Gollalakoderu villages where the students of all departments and coordinating faculty have conducted many programmes.
In recognition of the impact of our work, the UBA Chairman has selected us and 77 other institutions in the country for an award that bestows a perennial fund of Rs.1,75,000 for carrying out UBA activities in the selected villages. This is a a great achievement as only 2 other institutions have been selected in the state.
