The research apex committee of the college is constituted with eminent technocrats from the government, corporate, defence, and research establishments. The committee members are also on the Boards of Studies of individual engineering departments and help the institution to update the curriculum in tune with contemporary demands of the industry and the needs of the society.

The committee members visit the campus to participate in Workshops and Seminars to give keynote addresses and also advise researchers on selecting appropriate themes of research and applying to relevant government departments for funding. The industry members on the committee guide the faculty members in establishing industry linkages to get their research sponsored and to mentor startups in related domains.
