Former Director of IIT Delhi, Dr. VS Raju had visited SRKR and the Idea Lab that was constituted newly in collaboration with AICTE. Speaking on this occasion, he said that the faculty should develop good relation with the students and develop them intellectually. He said that India is slowly emerging as a champion in the fields of science and technology in the entire world. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had detailed the contributions of Dr. Raju to the eminent academic institutions across the country. The management of SRKR had felicitated Dr. Raju in a grand manner. The students of SRKR Engg College had conducted an Clean Challenge drive at Pedamiram Village under the college NSS Unit. Speaking on this occasion, Professor of Civil Engg Dr. Ganesh had said that students should voluntarily come forward to serve in the villages. The students took part in an awareness campaign in the village.
The NSS Unit at SRKR Engg College had conducted a Blood Donation Camp where the Civil and Mechanical Engineering Students had donated the blood for a noble cause. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said that students should inculcate the habit of donating the blood right from the childhood. Vice President of SRKR, Mr. SV Ranga Raju, College NSS Coordinator Dr. Krishna Chaitanya, HOD’s Dr. Brahma Raju, Dr. Varma, Dr. Venkatapathi Raju, Dr. Prasad, Physical Education Department staff etc. took part in this programme.
The Dept of CSE is conducting an Orientation Programme On Academic Project and Research Paper Writing for two days. The same has been inaugurated in the campus by Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju and Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju. Speaking on this occasion Principal had said that it is mandatory for the students to have training on academic projects and research paper writing under the new National Educational Policy. The students with this skill set will have more chances for their career upgrade. Faculty of CSE Dept and students took part in this occasion.

Women Empowerment Cell in collaboration with ECE Department had conducted a workshop on 'LED Lightening'. Plastic Omenium Lightening Technical Specialist and Alumni of SRKR Mr. Tejaswi Challa had attended the same as the chief Guest. Speaking on this occasion he said that, Research is under process on the problems that are arising when the temperature of the LED Lights is high. He shared his experiences with the electronics students. Women Empowerment Cell Coordinator Dr. BHVN Lakshmi presided over this function. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M.
