AICTE IDEA LAB and 43 rd Annual Day Celebrations of SRKR Engg College were inaugurated by Former Vice President of India Sri. M. Venkiah Naidu Garu. Speaking on this occasion he said that research towards promoting new infrastructure in rural areas should be promoted. He visited and appreciated SRUJANA VATIKA a centre of our heritage and traditions. President of SRKR Sri. SD. Prasad Raju and Secretary and Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma stressed the need of traditions and culture in student’s life and urged the students to make use of the IDEA LAB. Principal of SRKR Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had presented a brief report of various accomplishments of SRKR Engg College in the academic year. Sri. Venkiah Naidu Garu was felicitated grandly by the management and governing body members of the college. Members of the Management, Governing Body, Parents, Faculty and students were present at this event.
A blood donation camp was being organised at SRKR on the 40 th remembrance day of Sri.Sagi
Ramakrishnam Raju garu, chief donor of SRKR Engg College. Faculty of CSE Dept Dr. K. Aruna Kumari had donated blood 5 times until now and she was appreciated for her noble task. Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju and NSS Team took part in this activity.
The Dept of IT is conducting Bootcamp and 24 Hours Hackathon and the same was inaugurated on 5 th Feb by CEO of Brain O Vision Mr. D. Ganesh Nag. Speaking on this occasion he said that through human brain and intellectual skills alone we can acquire knowledge. IT Dept HOD Dr. BHVS Ramakrishnam Raju and Incharge Principal Dr. Muralikrishnam Raju had said that Data Science relevance was there in all the fields and so students should focus more on it. Vice President of SRKR Sri. SV Ranga Raju, Programme Coordinators Dr. Hemalatha, Dr. Kishore took part in this occasion.
Mr. Akula Naresh who was working as the faculty in the research centre of Mechanical Department
at SRKR Engg College had received doctorate from Andhra University, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju
had said. He had done his research on mixing Palmolein Oil with Diesel which will reduce the
pollution and increase the lifetime of the machine. He had done his research under the supervision
of Mechanical HOD Dr. Brahma Raju and Andhra University Joint Research Director Dr. P. Srinivas
Kishore. He was being felicitated by the administration of the college.
Mechanical Dept HOD Dr. Brahma Raju was being felicitated by the Principal of the College for his
noble contribution as the Director of the Mechanical Research Centre. 12 students received their
doctorates from the research centre since 2014.
IIT Tirupathi Director Dr. KN Satyanarayana had visited SRKR Engg College. He visited ‘SRUJANA
VATIKA’ where he examined various food items that are made from millets and various items
belonging to the olden days and appreciated the initiative. He had then visited the IDEA Lab and
examined the resources. Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had explained him about the various
initiatives that are taken up by the college. He had then interacted with the Deans and HODs of
various departments and he suggested the team to make sure that holistic development of the
students should take place. He was being felicitated grandly by the college administration.
