Second Position for SRKR Students in National Level Competition

In a national competition in collaboration with Isuni Motor Sports Company and Sagar Institute of Technology in Bhopal, SRKR Engineering College's mechanical students secured second place. College Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju announced this achievement and presented the trophy. During a special event at the college, the management recognized the students by awarding departmental cups. Dr. AP Rammurthy Raju, Head of Mechanical Engineering, mentioned that 28 students participated in the competition. Sagi Satya Prateek Verma, a college governing body member, highlighted the students' opportunity to gain expertise in mechanical engineering through national-level competitions, potentially leading to promising careers within the Koru group. The mechanical department extended their congratulations to the students. Senior Professor Dr. K. Brahma Raju, Sudhir Verma, Pawan Kumar Verma, and others were present at the event. Students expressed gratitude to the college management for enabling their participation in national-level competitions.

Importance of Preserving Nature's Beauty by Preventing Soil Erosion and Pollution

Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju the Principal of SRKR, underscored the importance of preserving nature's beauty and fostering patriotism. As part of the MY BHOOMI MY BHARATH initiative, a collaboration was established with the Pedaamiram village council, involving the village panchayat and the NSS department. The event featured key figures such as Sagi Satya Pratikavarma, Sarpanch D. Someshwararao, Vice Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Deputy Sarpanch Javvadi Kishore, and NSS Coordinator Dr. R. Krishna Chaitanya. Together, saplings were planted around the panchayat, with active participation from college students and villagers, reaffirming their commitment to the nation's freedom.

Focus on Prana Shakti to Improve Concentration

PRAVARAJIKA Tyaganisshthaprana Mataji and Pra- varajika Divyatma Prana Mataji of Guntur Sarada Mutt said that everyone can achieve their desired goals if they develop Prana Shakti and do not to divert their mind towards the bad thoughts.They addressed the students in SRKR Engineer ing College, Bhimavaram on 'Character building' on Saturday. The programme was organised by the college women empowerment cell and the programme was presided over by Dr P Bhuvaneswari, the women empowerment cell coordinator.They emphasised that if the students keep their mind under control, they can achieve amazing results.College vice-president SV Ranga Raju, English and Foreign languages head and in-charge women empowerment cell Dr Bh V N Lakshmi, Bhimavaram Vivekananda Seva Samithi coordinator Siva Varma, Soma Raju and others participated the programme.

SRKR Engineering College Faculty receives Ph D

ASSISTANT Professor Ch Rupa Jhansi Rani working in English department of SRKR Engineering College here has been awarded with Ph D by KL University for her research work on 'Diasporic Vicissitudes in the Select Novels of Bharati Mukherjee, informed college Principal Dr M Jagapati Raju on Friday. The Principal honoured Dr Ch Rupa Jhansi Rani on behalf of the college management on the occasion of Dr Rani getting Ph D awarded. Dr Rupa Jhansi Rani said that she worked on eminent author Bharti Mukherjee's novels The Tiger's Daughter (1971), Wife (1975), Jasmine (1989), The Holder of the World (1993) and Desirable Daughters (2002). In these novels Mukherjee focused on Indian heritage and culture though she lived abroad. She adopted new culture and ideas. The English department head Dr Bh VN Lakshmi and other department colleagues congratulated Dr Rani.

Workshop for English Faculty

College Principal Dr M Jagapathi Raju said on Wednesday that a one-day workshop will be held jointly on the 11th of this month. He said that mainly this workshop will provide training for teachers to provide training in English for students appearing for the TOEFL exams, which are conducted mainly for students joining international educational institutions. A poster related to the workshop was released on the occasion. On this occasion Dr. BHVS Lakshmi, Head of Department of English and Foreign Languages. He said that such a workshop will help the college level teachers to train the students who are writing the TOEFL exam. ETS Delhi Head Rashmi Gera said that special training will be provided to the teachers in the workshop. Due to this, it will be very useful for the teachers to get well versed and improve their skills as well. Everyone is requested to take advantage of this. Coordinator Dr. Satish Kumar Nadimpally and others participated in this program under the auspices of the English Department of the college.
