SRKR Engineering College announces a "Computer Vision" workshop on the 14th and 15th of this month, organized by the Computer Science Engineering and AIML Departments, with Dr. M. Jagapathiraju as the College Principal. Dr. V. Chandrasekhar, Head of CSE Department, and Dr. GNVG Sirisha, Head of AIML Department, participated. D. Bharanikumar, a software expert, will be present. Assistant Professor R. Sivakumar and student representative K. Leela Saipavan were also part of the program.
Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju Principal of SRKR, introduced the Sustainable Design Challenge facilitated by the Mechanical Engineering Department. A poster unveiling event occurred at the college on Wednesday. Dr. P. Rammurthy Raju, Head of Mechanical Engineering, and Dr. K. Brahma Raju, Program Convenor, provided details about the opportunity for students from various colleges in Bhimavaram to submit design proposals benefiting Aqua farmers. These student-designed projects will be exhibited on October 14, with prizes of 25,000, 15,000, and 10,000 rupees awarded to the top three projects.
The National Sports Day celebration, organized by D. Shivaji Raju, a distinguished national volleyball player and Andhra Pradesh representative, recognized deserving athletes with awards and scholarships. This event featured flag hoisting ceremonies and garnered the participation of notable individuals such as SV Rangaraju, Dr. K.V. Muralikrishna Raju Vice-Principal, Dr. P. Satyanarayana Raju Physical Director, Harimohan Assistant Physical Director, as well as J. Sarika, Avinash, and others. Special recognition was accorded to Shivaji Raju and Ramaraju for their significant contributions.
Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju Principal of SRKR, reported that 1860 students have been admitted to the institution's core engineering programs, encompassing Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Electronic Engineering. Additionally, it was revealed that the R-23 education system has been unanimously adopted by all autonomous engineering colleges in the state, permitting students to concurrently pursue minor engineering subjects and potentially earn honors degrees for advanced courses. These developments are designed to enhance the educational experience within the new system.
SRKR Engineering College recently formalized a partnership with Bosan Motors. The agreement was executed by Mr. Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Varma, the Secretary and Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, and Mr. Suri Bhupathiraju, the Director of Bosan Motors. During this collaboration, discussions were held with students and faculty members of the college. Various aspects of cooperation were addressed, including internships, workshops, and educational initiatives spanning across different departments. Key participants in these discussions included Dr. B.R.K Varma, who heads the Electrical and Electronics Department, Principal Dr. K.V. Murali Krishnam Raju from the EEE department, as well as Professor Dr. P. Kantharao, Srinivas, Dr. Shivaramakrishna, and other esteemed individuals from the EEE department.
