SRKR Engineering College hosted a special program on Saturday, jointly organized by Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Physics, and AICT Idea Lab. Former Registrar of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Dr. Dandu Jagannatharaju garu, emphasized the significance of startups in students' journey towards realizing the vision of a developed India. Dr. Jagannatharaju garu reviewed students' projects, lauding their innovative ideas, and commended the college for fostering such initiatives among first-year engineering students.
College Director Dr. M. Jagavathy Raju and Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnamaraju garu discussed the college's initiatives, including the establishment of AICT Idea Lab and Atal Innovation Center. They proudly noted the numerous successes achieved by students in national-level competitions, attributing them to the supportive environment provided by the college. They also extended an invitation to students from other colleges to benefit from these opportunities.
The program saw participation from key faculty members including Dr. P Bhavani garu (Head of Engineering Chemistry), Dr. MV Someswara Rao garu(Head of Engineering Physics), Dr. Gopalakrishna Murthy garu (Head of Technology Center), Dr. Chandrasekhar garu, Dr. Diwakar garu, and others.
In recognition of their achievements, students who participated in competitions were honored with prizes by Dr. Jagannatharaju garu, inspiring further innovation and excellence among the student community.
In honor of International Mathematics Day, SRKR Engineering College, Bhimavaram, hosted a special event on March 14 organized by the Department of Mathematics and Humanities. Senior Professor Dr. K Surya Rao garu, retired from DNR College, emphasized the crucial role of mathematics in engineering disciplines, urging proficiency among all. Dr. D. Shri Vigyana Vedika Convenor Cherukuwada Rangasai garu said that the credit of being a guide to the education sector and providing thousands of engineers to the society goes to Dr. M Jagapathi Raju garu, director of SRKR Engineering College. Recently, Hyderabad-based Artificial Intelligence and Medical Engineering Society conferred the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award on Dr. Jagapathi Raju. Rangasai garu felicitated Dr. Jagapathi Raju garu on this occasion.

A Jahnavi, a second-year ECE student, secured first place in the SRKR Orator Championship organized by the SRKR Toastmasters and Language Nest Club at SRKR Engineering College. The event, spanning several phases since August, culminated in a thrilling final round on Monday. Jahnavi's eloquence and oratory prowess stood out among the contestants, earning her a cash prize of Rs 5,000. Dr. M Jagapati Raju and Principal Dr. KV Murali Krishnam Raju awarded prizes to the winners, including Ch Sridhar Shyam and K Haswant Kumar, who secured second and third place, respectively. Dr. Raju emphasized the importance of strong oratory skills and proficient English pronunciation for international success. This victory underscores SRKR Engineering College's commitment to nurturing talent and holistic development. Congratulations to Jahnavi and all the winners for their exemplary performances.
To achieve the goals of Vikshit Bharatt 2047, Dr. Shreekant, an international researcher in agriculture, stressed the importance of solving the problems faced by people with indigenous technological knowledge. This was discussed during a program conducted jointly by the Departments of Engineering Chemistry and Engineering Physics at SRKR Engineering College during the Science Day celebrations. Dr. Shreekant, addressing the gathering, highlighted the need for encouraging scientific research and promoting indigenous solutions to address the challenges faced by society. He also suggested measures to reduce plastic usage, such as promoting the construction of plastic roads and establishing water management plants every five kilometers. Dr. P. A. Ramakrishnam Raju, Director of the college, along with Principal Dr. K.V. Murali Krishna Raju, Head of Engineering Chemistry Dr. P. Bhavani, Head of Engineering Physics Dr. V. Someshwara Rao, and others, presided over the event. In this context, they unveiled the poster for the research program.
