SRKR Professor Ravi Babu Receives Doctorate for Breakthrough Research in Computer Science

SR KR Engineering College proudly announces that Assistant Professor Devareddy Ravibabu garu has been awarded a doctorate by Acharya Nagarjuna University. His research focuses on the rapid recognition of images using Mission Learning Algorithms in Remote Sensing. Dr. Ravi Babu's work addresses a crucial challenge in computer vision—detecting objects in aerial view images. His innovative approach promises advancements in military applications, particularly in utilizing aircraft or drones for target engagement. Supervised by Dr. Atluri Srikrishna garu, his research, titled 'CBIR System Using Ensemble Enhanced ABC with Related Edge Cluster Clustered Pixel Extraction and Interlinked Future Correlation on Remote Sensing Images,' earned him this prestigious recognition. College management, led by Secretary Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Varma garu, honored Dr. Ravi Babu garu for his remarkable achievement.

Bhimavaram: V Vijayaramaraju garu, Head of the Department of Electrical and Electronics at Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering and Technology, Hyderabad, emphasized the importance of research for all students. Speaking at the inauguration of the two-day Apoorva 24 workshop with alumni at Bhimavaram's SRKR Engineering College, Vijayaramaraju garu stressed that teachers should prioritize equipping students with technical skills and nurturing their critical thinking abilities in relevant subjects. He highlighted the pivotal role of teachers in clarifying students' doubts, particularly during project undertakings. College Director M Jagapathiraju garu and Principal KV Murali Krishnamraju garu echoed Vijayaramaraju's sentiments, noting the rapid development of the technology sector and the increasing demand for skilled engineering professionals. Vijayaramaraju garu urged students to focus on research to stay abreast of these advancements. Following his address, Vijayaramaraju garu unveiled the Triple EE Chronicle, a publication crafted by the students. The event was attended by College Vice President Sagi Withalangaraju garu, EEE Department Head BRK Verma garu, N Srinivas garu, Alumni Coordinator M Anil garu, G Harish Kumar Verma garu, and other dignitaries.

National Recognition: SRKR Engineering College Students Excel in Hackathon Competition

Students from SRKR Engineering College in Bhimavaram achieved a remarkable feat by securing the first place and a cash prize of ten thousand rupees in a national-level hackathon competition organized by the CSI Student Chapter. The competition, dubbed 'Hecton', spanned from the 1st to the 5th of this month, featuring boot camps and rigorous competitions held on Fridays and Saturdays. The winning team devised an innovative system designed to automatically deactivate earphones after two hours of continuous use. This solution addresses concerns related to prolonged earphone usage, which has been linked to potential ear problems according to various research papers. Notably, the victorious team comprised third-year students from the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) department: Enduri Mahendra, TDSS Y Ayyappa Kumar, Mangalampalli Gopi Srinivas, along with third-year Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) student Ande Rajesh. Experts lauded the initiative, highlighting the health benefits of the solution, particularly in mitigating potential risks associated with wearing earphones while sleeping. The research conducted by the students promises to offer significant advancements in this regard. Additionally, SRKR Engineering College students secured the second prize, earning a cash reward of six thousand rupees, while students from Suram Palem Aditya Engineering College clinched the third position, receiving a cash prize of four thousand rupees. The fourth and fifth prizes were claimed by SRKR Engineering College and Shashi Engineering students from Tadepalligudem, respectively.

Bhimavaram, April 12: District Nodal Officer GCH Prabhakar garu has emphasized the importance of youth registering as voters. Addressing young women and men at SRKER Engineering College, Prabhakar garu highlighted the significance of exercising the right to vote for the protection of democracy. He urged those who turned 18 by April 1st to register and participate actively. NSS Coordinator Dr. R Krishnachai Tanya garu presided over the event, attended by College Director Dr. M Jagapathi Raju garu and Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju garu. Prabhakar garu also encouraged downloading the voter helpline for easy registration.

SRKR Engineering College hosted a special program on Saturday, jointly organized by Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Physics, and AICT Idea Lab. Former Registrar of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University, Dr. Dandu Jagannatharaju garu, emphasized the significance of startups in students' journey towards realizing the vision of a developed India. Dr. Jagannatharaju garu reviewed students' projects, lauding their innovative ideas, and commended the college for fostering such initiatives among first-year engineering students. College Director Dr. M. Jagavathy Raju and Principal Dr. K.V. Muralikrishnamaraju garu discussed the college's initiatives, including the establishment of AICT Idea Lab and Atal Innovation Center. They proudly noted the numerous successes achieved by students in national-level competitions, attributing them to the supportive environment provided by the college. They also extended an invitation to students from other colleges to benefit from these opportunities. The program saw participation from key faculty members including Dr. P Bhavani garu (Head of Engineering Chemistry), Dr. MV Someswara Rao garu(Head of Engineering Physics), Dr. Gopalakrishna Murthy garu (Head of Technology Center), Dr. Chandrasekhar garu, Dr. Diwakar garu, and others.
