Led by Nallamilli Srivalli, Lankapalli Lalita Bhavani, Pappula Jahnavi, Padala Vira Manoj, and Natla Srikar, a group of students successfully transformed an ordinary bicycle into an electric marvel. By integrating a lithium battery and a rear-wheel motor, the team created an electric bicycle capable of covering 30 kilometers on a single charge. Costing only Rs 15,000, this innovation offers an affordable and sustainable solution for local transportation needs.
This electric bicycle was showcased alongside 49 other groundbreaking projects at the Project Expo organized by the EEE department. Among these projects was a pioneering endeavor by G Devi Sai Prasanna, AV Naga Sai, GM Tirumala, K Bindu Vaishnavi, AV Kalabharati, and B Sudhakar Raju, who devised a revolutionary wireless charging system for electric vehicles.
Explaining their innovation, the team unveiled plans for a cable system installed beneath roads, featuring copper-insulated wires designed to charge vehicles as they traverse the roadway. This wireless charging infrastructure represents a significant advancement in sustainable transportation technology.
