Kartika Deepotsavam Celebrated at SRKR Engineering College

Bhimavaram (November 4): SRKR Engineering College celebrated the auspicious occasion of Kartika Monday with a grand Kartika Deepotsavam organized by the students. This annual event takes place on the first Monday of the Kartika month, marking a significant cultural celebration at the college. The celebration commenced with the lighting of the Naduma Jyotas as part of the puja rituals, led by College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Verma, along with Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju and Archaka Swamulu. The event saw the participation of College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, and a large number of enthusiastic students. The Kartika Deepotsavam was a vibrant display of tradition, unity, and devotion, with students actively participating in the celebrations, making it a memorable and spiritually enriching event for all involved.

Bhimavaram, November 4: Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Principal of SRKR Engineering College, emphasized the importance of rural students gaining exposure to national-level innovations to foster their scientific development. His remarks came during the Pragya Technical Fair, organized by the Mechanical Engineering students of SRKR Engineering College at Zilla Parishad Oriental High School, Vempa Village, Bhimavaram Rural Mandal. Dr. Muralikrishnam Raju, an alumnus of Vempa Zilla Parishad High School, recalled how the knowledge and education he received at the school helped him pursue his academic and professional journey, ultimately leading him to become the principal of a prestigious engineering college. He also shared the recent achievement of the college's students, who secured second place in a national competition for the design and racing of vehicles in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In addition to showcasing these vehicles, the event also featured other recent inventions created by the college students. Nadimpally Surya Bhagavan Raju, Principal of Vempa Zilla Parishad High School, praised the initiative, highlighting how displaying the nationally recognized vehicles to students would inspire creativity and innovation. Dr. K. Suresh Babu, Head of Mechanical Engineering, explained that the Automotive Club UKV, under the Mechanical Engineering Department of SRKR Engineering College, organizes the Pragya Technical Fair every year, showcasing new inventions by students and providing exposure to the rural students in various Zilla Parishad High Schools. During the event, several distinguished individuals were felicitated, including Kalidindi Ramachandra Raju, Kalidindi A. Appalaraju, Vegesna Ramana Raju, NV Somaraju, and Kalidindi Naga Verma. The ceremony was also attended by Shyam Babu, Chairman of the Education Committee, along with Assistant Professors from SRKR Engineering College's Mechanical Engineering Department, including Dr. Murali, K. Tarun Kumar, and others. The Pragya Technical Fair aimed to inspire rural students to explore scientific and technical fields and foster innovation among them through hands-on experiences and exposure to real-world technological advancements.

Bhimavaram, November 11: Nishant Verma, Secretary and Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, inaugurated the newly sanctioned Engineering Physics Research Center from JNTUK at SRKR Engineering College on Monday. This milestone marks a significant step in enhancing research capabilities in the field of engineering physics. During the inauguration, Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Principal of SRKR Engineering College, shared that a team of experts from JNTUK recently visited the college, inspecting the engineering physics department and its laboratories, leading to the sanctioning of the research center. Dr. MV Someswara Rao, Head of the Engineering Physics Department, highlighted that the college management had invested significantly in setting up the research center, ensuring that all necessary facilities and infrastructure were in place to support the researchers. He also mentioned that JNTUK had already allocated some researchers to the new center. Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, College Director, emphasized that SRKR Engineering College places high importance on research across various disciplines. Apart from the engineering departments, the college has established research centers in Engineering Chemistry, Engineering Mathematics, and Engineering Physics. Many faculty members have already benefited from these centers and achieved their PhDs. He encouraged young faculty members to prioritize research in their academic careers. The event was also attended by Dr. P Bhavani, Head of Engineering Chemistry, Dr. Venkatapathy Raju, Head of Mathematics and Humanities, along with senior professors and faculty members. The Engineering Physics Research Center at SRKR Engineering College aims to foster cutting-edge research and contribute to advancements in the field of engineering physics.

SRKR Engineering College Hosts Toastmasters Club SRKR Orator Championship

Bhimavaram, November 8: Emphasizing the importance of mastering communication skills for a successful future, Nishant Verma, Correspondent of SRKR Engineering College, addressed the students during the SRK Orator Championship Competitions held on Friday at the college. As the chief guest of the event, Nishant Verma highlighted that engineering students must master the English language and communication skills to secure a promising future. He also noted that SRKR Engineering College provides training in soft skills from the first year, across various departments, to ensure students are well-equipped with the essential language skills. During the event, the winners of the orator competition were announced, with P Kumar Verma, a third-year student from the Prize AIDS department, winning the first prize, which was accompanied by a cash prize of Rs. 5000. CH Lalitha, a second-year IT student, was awarded the second prize with a cash prize of Rs. 3000. The third prize was won by G Kavya, a third-year CSC student, along with a cash prize of Rs. 2000. The event was presided over by Dr. BHVN Lakshmi, Head of the English and Foreign Languages Department, and was conducted under the auspices of SRKR Toastmasters and Language Nest. The program was also supported by Dr. BHVS Ramakrishnam Raju, In-charge Principal, and various faculty members from the English and Foreign Languages Department. The Toastmasters Club SRK Orator Championship aimed to enhance the speaking and communication skills of students, which are crucial for their personal and professional development.

Bhimavaram, October 29: The shortage of blockchain technology experts in India was highlighted by Sunil Subrahmanyam, Head of Strategy Partnerships at leading IDS (Information Data Systems) Edavalli, during the inauguration of the Center of Excellence Bharat Blockchain Network at SRKR Engineering College. The event, held on Tuesday, was conducted under the auspices of the Computer Science Engineering Department, with Senior Professor and College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju also in attendance. In his address, Sunil Subrahmanyam emphasized the importance of blockchain technology in various sectors such as healthcare, banking, and corporate finance. He highlighted the technology’s ability to provide clarity, transparency, and secure record-keeping. He further noted that blockchain technology will play a vital role in the coming years, predicting a significant increase in career opportunities for professionals in this field over the next two years.
