IIT Tirupathi Director Dr. KN Satyanarayana had visited SRKR Engg College. He visited ‘SRUJANA
VATIKA’ where he examined various food items that are made from millets and various items
belonging to the olden days and appreciated the initiative. He had then visited the IDEA Lab and
examined the resources. Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had explained him about the various
initiatives that are taken up by the college. He had then interacted with the Deans and HODs of
various departments and he suggested the team to make sure that holistic development of the
students should take place. He was being felicitated grandly by the college administration.
An awareness programme on general medicine was being conducted in collaboration with the NSS
Unit at SRKR Engg College on 31-01-23. Dr. Ganapathi Raju from Ingalls Memorial University of
Chicago Medical Centre Family Medicine MD from US has attended the same and addressed the
students. He cautioned the students to avoid the habits of Smoking and Drinking through which the
body parts gets affected and the lives will be ruined. Principal of SRKR, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju had said
that students should give equal importance to studies and health, through which they can make the
dreams of their parents come true. Dr. Ganapathi Raju was being felicitated by the Vice President of
SRKR, Sri. SV Ranga Raju, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju and NSS Co-Ordinator Dr. Krishna Chaitanya
and NSS Co- Coordinator Mr. KNV Satyanarayana.
A mega health camp was being organised at SRKR Engg College by Women Empowerment Cell,
Unnat Bharat Abhiyan and Akkineni Women’s Hospital of Vijayawada on 28 th Jan, 2023. Speaking on
this occasion, Founder of Akkineni Women’s Hospital Dr. Mani had said that their hospital is ready to
extend any services for the wellbeing of the Women fraternity. She said that their hospital had
organised several health camps across the state and treated thousands of patients. In this health
camp medical services are rendered to around 400 people and free medicines were distributed to
the needy. Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, In-Charge Principal Dr. Muralikrishnam Raju, Dean R&D
Dr. PARK Raju, Women Empowerment Cell InCharge Dr. Bhuvaneshwari, Hospital CEO Mr. P.
Srinivasa Rao etc. took part in this noble initiative.
A mega health camp was being organised by the SRKR Engg College on 28 th January Morning in the
campus with the collaboration of Vijayawada based Akkineni Women’s Hospital. The brochure
relating to the same was inaugurated in the campus by Secretary & Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma. He urged the women of SRKR Unnat Bharat Abhiyan adopted villages Pedda Amiram,
Kopalle, Kalla, Kallakuru and Jakkaram to make use of this health camp. CEO of Akkineni Women’s
Hospital P. Srinivas had said that free medicines would be distributed to the needy in this health
camp. Governing Body Member Mr. Pratik Varma, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, Dean R&D Dr.
PARK Raju etc. took part in this occasion.
34 th Road Safety Week Valedictory programme was held at SRKR auditorium on 24 th January, 2023.
District Collector Smt. P. Prasanthi attended the same as the chief guest. Speaking on this occasion
she said that everyone should abide by the traffic rules and have a safe journey. ASP Sri. Subbaraju
and District Transport Officer Sri. Umamaheswara Rao had said that many programmes were being
organised in order to bring awareness on road safety. Eye tests were being conducted for the drivers
and spectacles were being distributed to them by the collector. SRKR Secretary & Correspondent Sri. SRK Nishanth Varma, Governing Body Member Sri. Pratik Varma, Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju took part in this programme.
