In Championship-23 Tournament THE WEST GODAVARI DISTRICT - Overall Champions

P. Satyanarayanaraju, the Tournament Organizing Secretary, announced West Godavari district's victory in the state-level under-20 fencing championship. Additional SC AV Subbaraju awarded winners at the competition held at Bhimavaram SRR Engineering College. Dina Tanuja from Prakasam secured first place in the foil girls category, with PT White Sairaj (West Godavari) taking the top spot in the foil girls category. In the boys' category, Mahlaj (Ananthapuram) secured first place. M. Baby Reddy (Kadapa) topped the Sakhi girls category, and ASN Pandu (East Godavari) claimed the first spot in another category. The winners will compete in the national-level competition in Gujarat in September. The event saw the participation of College Principal M. Jagapathi Raju, Vice President Sagi Vithalngaraju, and Bhima Varam DSC Bandaru Srinath.

West Godavari District Additional S.P.A.V. Subbaraju said,the State Fencing Under-20 Boys and Girls Champion Ship-2023 competitions started on Sunday at SRKR Engineering College. Fencing State Association Secretary GS.V. In the program presided over by Krishnamohan, Subbaraju said that if the students grow up to be good sportsmen, they will do well in their studies. Principal M. Jagapathiraju said that the students of their college are topping in sports as well as technical competitions. Foreign Education Requires English Proficiency

Rashmi Gera, an academic from the Education Testing Services (ETS) in Delhi, emphasized the importance of enhancing English language skills among students going abroad for higher education. She spoke on Saturday at a workshop organized by the English and Foreign Languages University (EFLU), where she addressed English teachers and students preparing for exams like TOEFL. She highlighted the significance of understanding the underlying principles in English language lectures and encouraged students to receive quality education. The program was attended by the Principal M. Jagapatiraju,Head of English and Foreign languages BH VN Lakshmi,Vice-Principal K.V. Muralikrishnamraju,N Satish Kumar and others.

State Level Fencing Championship

College Principal Dr M Jagapathi Raju Fencing Association State Secretary GSV Krishna Mohan said that the ninth state level Juniors Under 20 Boys and Girls Fencing Championship 2023-24 will be held at Bhimavaram SRKR Engineering College on 13th of this month. The poster related to this was released by the vice-president of the college governing body Sagisatya Prateek Verma. On this occasion, the physical director of the college, Dr. P Satyanarayana Raju said that 314 athletes from 13 districts of the state are participating. Half of them are female players. West Godavari District Additional Superintendent of Police AV Subbaraju, Bhimavaram DSP B Srikanth, State President of Fencing Association V Nageswara Rao and others will be the chief guests for the inaugural programme. College Assistant Physical Director Dr. CH Harimohan and others participated in the program.

Second Position for SRKR Students in National Level Competition

In a national competition in collaboration with Isuni Motor Sports Company and Sagar Institute of Technology in Bhopal, SRKR Engineering College's mechanical students secured second place. College Principal Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju announced this achievement and presented the trophy. During a special event at the college, the management recognized the students by awarding departmental cups. Dr. AP Rammurthy Raju, Head of Mechanical Engineering, mentioned that 28 students participated in the competition. Sagi Satya Prateek Verma, a college governing body member, highlighted the students' opportunity to gain expertise in mechanical engineering through national-level competitions, potentially leading to promising careers within the Koru group. The mechanical department extended their congratulations to the students. Senior Professor Dr. K. Brahma Raju, Sudhir Verma, Pawan Kumar Verma, and others were present at the event. Students expressed gratitude to the college management for enabling their participation in national-level competitions.
