The central government honored S.R.K.R Engineering College within Andhra University's jurisdiction with the "Best Award" as part of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan initiative spanning 11 districts. Dr. T. Rambabu, an Associate Professor at G. Pulla Reddy Engineering College, received the "Best Coordinator Award" for agricultural contributions under the Yuva Bharat Mission. Awards were presented by Andhra University's Vice-Chancellor during the main festival to both the Engineering College and the University. Various dignitaries, including Dr. P.A. Ramakrishnam Raju, Dr. A. Subbarao, Dr. G. Suri Babu, Dr. K.P. Raghuram, Dr. K.Y. Ganesh, and Dr. Matlapudi Satyanarayana, participated in the event.

The Computer Science and Design Branch (CSD) at SRKR is hosting a National Level Faculty Development Program on Design Thinking and Innovative Product Development from October 30 to November 4, supported by the AICTE Idea Lab. Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, the college director, unveiled the program's poster. Dr. M. Suresh Babu, CSD Head, reported that over 3000 applications were received for FDP funding, with only 300 colleges, including SRKR, being selected. Colleges from states like Maharashtra, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu have already enrolled. A grant of INR 3.5 lakhs from the Atal Academy will aid in maintaining the program, as shared by Dr. Mudunuri Suresh Babu, Co-Coordinator, and Dr. N. Gopala Krishnamurthy, Co-Coordinator.
A hackathon named "Hack Overflow-2K23" is scheduled to be held at SRKR on the 19th and 20th of this month. The college's Principal, Dr. K. V. Murali Krishna Raju, unveiled an event poster, and Dr. Jagapathi Raju, the college's Director, praised the engineering students for their talents during the upcoming 24-hour hackathon. Dr. V. Chandrasekhar, Head of the CSE Department, highlighted the contributions of the Coding Club and Training and Placement Cell. The program is coordinated by Dean Dr. K. R. Satyanarayana and Assistant Professor K. David Raju, who oversee the Training and Placement Cell.
