The agreement was formalized during a special event held in Mumbai on November 13th, with Vamsikrishna Janga, Assistant Vice Chancellor of International Enrollment Management at Northeastern University, and Assistant Director of Academic Partnership for South Asia Enrollment Management, signing on behalf of the University.
Dr. KV Muralikrishnamraju, Principal of SRKR Engineering College, expressed excitement about this collaboration, which opens doors for SRKR students to study at some of the best schools in the USA. Dr. BHIVN Lakshmi, Head of English and Foreign Languages and Overseas Education Representative at SRKR, highlighted that the MoU offers students a reduction in fees and access to scholarship opportunities at Northeastern University.
The college has already set up examination centers for GRE, TOEFL, and IELTS, which will support students wishing to study abroad. Bhimavaram, November 18: In an effort to empower female students and ensure their safety, SRKR Engineering College organized a 40-day Self-Defense Training Program under the joint auspices of the Women Empowerment Cell and the Physical Education Department. The training, titled "Self Defense", was inaugurated for female hostel students of the college on Monday.
SV Rangaraju, Principal of SRKR Engineering College, urged female students to train themselves in self-defense and build self-confidence to face life's challenges with courage. He emphasized that learning basic self-defense skills would provide students with the ability to handle difficult situations independently and safely.
During the event, Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, College Director, highlighted the importance of practicing self-defense techniques, stating that these skills would be crucial for women, especially when facing situations alone or when pursuing higher education.
Dr. K. V Muralikrishnam Raju, Principal of the college, further added that such programs, organized by the Women Empowerment Cell, aim to develop self-defense among students and encourage them to take advantage of these valuable opportunities.
Karate trainer Barre Ramesh, who has trained numerous individuals abroad, along with SV Venkat, Physical Education Trainer, and Dr. P. Satyanarayana Raju, Physical Education Director, were present at the event. Dr. K. Kishore Raju, Hostel Warden, and Dr. P. Bhuvaneshwari, Women Empowerment Cell Coordinator, also participated in the program.
The Self-Defense Training Program aims to equip female students with the skills and confidence needed to navigate challenges safely and independently, contributing to their overall empowerment.
Bhimavaram, November 6: SRKR Engineering College congratulates its Men’s and Women’s Netball Teams for being selected to represent JNTUK in the Netball All India Inter-University Competition to be held in Jaipur soon. The players were felicitated in a special ceremony organized on the college premises, where they were honored with flowers and accolades.
College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Varma expressed his pride in the students' achievements and emphasized that success at the national level would offer them a bright future.
During the ceremony, Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju, Principal of the college, shared the recent success of SRKR students at the JNTUK Inter-Collegiate Central Zone Competitions, where the college’s netball teams had secured first place in both the men’s and women’s categories.
Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, College Director, highlighted the importance of sports alongside academics in the new education system. He reaffirmed the college’s commitment to prioritizing sports and announced that the college management would positively consider hosting the South Zone Competitions if the opportunity is provided by the universities in the future.

Bhimavaram (November 4): SRKR Engineering College celebrated the auspicious occasion of Kartika Monday with a grand Kartika Deepotsavam organized by the students. This annual event takes place on the first Monday of the Kartika month, marking a significant cultural celebration at the college.
The celebration commenced with the lighting of the Naduma Jyotas as part of the puja rituals, led by College Secretary and Correspondent Sagi Ramakrishna Nishant Verma, along with Principal Dr. KV Muralikrishnam Raju and Archaka Swamulu. The event saw the participation of College Director Dr. M. Jagapathi Raju, along with the teaching and non-teaching staff, and a large number of enthusiastic students.
The Kartika Deepotsavam was a vibrant display of tradition, unity, and devotion, with students actively participating in the celebrations, making it a memorable and spiritually enriching event for all involved.

His remarks came during the Pragya Technical Fair, organized by the Mechanical Engineering students of SRKR Engineering College at Zilla Parishad Oriental High School, Vempa Village, Bhimavaram Rural Mandal.
Dr. Muralikrishnam Raju, an alumnus of Vempa Zilla Parishad High School, recalled how the knowledge and education he received at the school helped him pursue his academic and professional journey, ultimately leading him to become the principal of a prestigious engineering college. He also shared the recent achievement of the college's students, who secured second place in a national competition for the design and racing of vehicles in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. In addition to showcasing these vehicles, the event also featured other recent inventions created by the college students.
Nadimpally Surya Bhagavan Raju, Principal of Vempa Zilla Parishad High School, praised the initiative, highlighting how displaying the nationally recognized vehicles to students would inspire creativity and innovation.
Dr. K. Suresh Babu, Head of Mechanical Engineering, explained that the Automotive Club UKV, under the Mechanical Engineering Department of SRKR Engineering College, organizes the Pragya Technical Fair every year, showcasing new inventions by students and providing exposure to the rural students in various Zilla Parishad High Schools.
During the event, several distinguished individuals were felicitated, including Kalidindi Ramachandra Raju, Kalidindi A. Appalaraju, Vegesna Ramana Raju, NV Somaraju, and Kalidindi Naga Verma. The ceremony was also attended by Shyam Babu, Chairman of the Education Committee, along with Assistant Professors from SRKR Engineering College's Mechanical Engineering Department, including Dr. Murali, K. Tarun Kumar, and others.
