Civil Services Coaching:

Introduction:

SRKREC Management felt the need to offer Civil Services Coaching to aspirantswho have the need, desire and positive attitude to achieve the coveted Professionand positively impact the society and country. Hence, in the year 2017, the 1st batchof Civil Services Coaching was started within the campus.

The UPSC CS Classroom course initiated in SRKREC is a comprehensive 10month part-time course where an external institute will guide IAS aspirants fromthe scratch and teach them General Studies & Mains subjects of the Civil ServicesExamination. This course consists of classroom lectures, handouts and doubtclarification sessions. The optional subject is taught basing on stipulated minimumno. of students opting for the same subject. In a year three UPSC CS Classroomsessions are planned, in August which will continue till May.

GRE Coaching:

Introduction:

The Graduate Record Examination (or GRE) is an admission test for a number of graduate and business schools across many countries in the world and the test includes the components of verbal and quantitative aptitude irrespective of the stream of specialization that the candidate opts for for the higher degree abroad. It is obvious that the number of graduates moving to other countries for higher education is skyrocketing year by year precipitating all the aspirants to throng the coaching institutes of high repute in expectation of a satisfying score in GRE.

Considering the students’ perseverance to master verbal and quantitative skills and perform extremely well in the exam so as to pursue higher education abroad especially the US, the college approached the T.I.M.E Institute, Hyd., for the first batch for a rigorous on-campus coaching for the same with a view to assist the students in acquiring the skills required. However, feeling the need for a continuous and constant practice of the componants for a longer period of time, the regular faculty took over the programme for the following batch.

Objectives of the Program:

1. First and foremost, the chief concern of the program is to equip students with the required skills for further education abroad as well as winning to be recruited at a prestigious company within the country.

2. To motivate students to head off and be allied with renowned universities abroad for an even better academic exposure.

3. To drive students right from the graduation level to move to foreign universities of international repute and carry out an extensive and effective research.

4. It is also to enrich the skills of the students in order for them to do well on GATE, CAT, GMAT and other competitive examinations.


GATE Coaching:

Introduction:

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore and the seven Indian Institutes of technology (at Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB) - GATE, Dept. of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.

Qualifying in GATE is a mandatory requirement for seeking admission and/or financial assistance to: (i) Master’s programs and direct Doctoral programs in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture and (ii) Doctoral programs in relevant branches of science, in the institutions supported by the MHRD and other Government agencies. GATE qualification is mandatory in many prospects of the higher education. Further, many Public sector Undertakings (PSUs) have been using the GATE score in their recruitment process.

GATE examination aims at testing the Verbal Ability, Numerical Ability, Engineering Mathematics and Technical Ability of the students. To cater the needs of the students in qualifying the GATE exam, a voluntary free-Coaching for Verbal Ability is offered on behalf of T & P Cell, for the GATE Batch of students that is organized by the EEE Dept. within the premises of SRKREC Campus.

Objectives of the Program:

1. To equip the students with the required skills for further education, recruitments and research prospects.

2. To motivate students to do well in GRE, CAT, GMAT, Banking and other competitive examinations.

SRKREC English Club:

SRKREC ENGLISH CLUB was established with the aim to create English atmosphere and develop students communication skills in students community. English faculty and verbal Trainers are leading this club with dedication. English club, a wing of Training & Placement cell, conducts the following literary events on various occasions. Story narration, Debate, Picture Description, Group Discussion, Elocution, vocabulary quiz etc. It focuses not only on conducting competitive events but also focus on average and below average students to create interest in them towards language and develop their communication skills

Objectives:

  • To build up confidence in students
  • To avoid stage fright
  • To develop speaking skills with accuracy and fluency
  • To encourage them to participate in literary competitive events
  • To develop leadership qualities

BEC:

Business English Certification by Cambridge University

We have had a tremendous track record in the exams conducted by Cambridge university, especially BEC-Vantage. We have successfully completed three batches in the last two years which helped 97 students in the first batch and 124 and 122 students in the next batches get certified by Cambridge. GETS:

Global English Testing Services (GETS) is an English Language skills certification course which is traded by Qualifications and Assessments International, UK. It’s operated on a thorough authenticated IELTS pattern. It’s offered to 2/4 students of all branches on our campus. As many as 82 students have registered for the first batch in the academic year 2019-2020. Test Report for GETS HIGHER is guaranteed for all, which is mapped to CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference)

  • To develop the most modern language assessment and support ecosystem

British Council Project:

APSCHE-British Council English Communication Skills Project

The Andhra Pradesh Government and Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE), in partnership with the British Council, initiated English Communication Skills Project, in the year 2017. This project aimed to improve the English language proficiency and employability skills of college students at select higher education institutes in Andhra Pradesh. Additionally the project involves training a cadre of Master Trainers and cohorts of teachers in classroom pedagogy, teaching methodology and communicative language teaching methods using a cascade model so that institutional training capacity can be built and learners have ongoing access to high quality teaching and learning. This project also aspired to build institutional and organizational capacity, by bringing together partners, knowledge and innovation to put up solutions that address the vision of increasing employability.

The students of SRKREC took an active part in developing their Employability Skills and performed in all the activities conducted in the face-to-face training and online modules as well. 581 students from various streams in Engineering got certified under this project.

The key objectives of the project:

  • To employ teaching and learning methodologies which facilitate more communicative language learning outcomes.
  • To contextualize and deepen students’ understanding of the key language learnt in the course.
  • To improve students’ workplace English, employability and soft skills through an integrated training solution (face-to-face and online) and thereby have access to increased opportunities for further education and employment.
  • To practice English language in meaningful situations
  • To develop awareness of and to develop key employability skills.

Mentors for Online Courses:

Academic faculty are guiding the students in enrolling the NPTEL courses and clarifying their doubts in the subject and acting as mentors. In this part, 2018-19 students registered the course Nature of Language from SWAYAM. More than 120 students got certificates
