Vision:

Technology centre has been established with an aim to facilitate technology training and various skill development programmes / workshops for all the students of SRKR engineering college. The centre focuses on skill development in latest technologies and encourages the students to carry out projects in all disciplines of engineering / technology. Technology centre has been well equipped with a dedicated computer lab with all necessary facilities.

Objectives:

• To develop and implement support strategies and methodologies for effective use of information technology.
• To maintain reliable technological infrastructure, and provide continuous improvement and technical support to the students and staff.
• To plan, organise and provide training that will enhance students' knowledge and skills that are increasingly essential for students in educational institutions.
• To organise courses to increase information technology literacy, exposure and skills of SRKREC students that will be the basis for the students' job career.

Infrastructure:

The technology centre has well equipped state-of-the-art technology lab housing over 100 computer systems with configuration - dell i3 4GB ram 500 GB HDD computers, connected over LAN and one higher end server with configuration - dell PowerEdge t430 – 16GB RAM 2Tb HDD. Internet connectivity of two separate 8 mbps & 5 mbps dedicated leased lines round the clock are available through WIFI and 15 kVA UPS power backup facilities. Dedicated lab for online courses, training and development with high end computers is available round the clock for the benefit of students. Technology Centre is fully air-conditioned with LCD projector and public address system.

• 913 students have registered for IIT madras - NPTEL courses
• 766 students are certified from IIT madras – NPTEL
• Got AAA rating from IIT madras – NPTEL in all India level
• got all India 10th rank & 2nd rank in Andhra Pradesh from IIT madras – NPTEL
• 160 students Microsoft virtual academy certification completed successfully
• 180 students registered for APSSDC & Google-android global certification
• 500 – 2/4 B.Tech. ECE & EEE students registered for IIT Bombay-spoken tutorials and CISCO networking academy – IoT certification .
• 400 – 1/4 B.Tech. - women students of all branches registered for CISCO – networking academy cyber security & IoT certification
• 4- students selected by Stanford university for University Innovation Fellows (UIF) Spring 2017 programme and attended silicon valley meet up in march 2017 conducted by Stanford university, USA
• 4- students selected by Stanford university for University Innovation Fellows (UIF) Fall 2017 programme and attended silicon valley meet up in November 2017 conducted by Stanford university, USA
• 4- students selected by Stanford university for University Innovation Fellows (UIF) Spring 2018 programme
• 4- students team stood in top position in all India level IIT Bombay e-yantra - 2017 competition and awarded with robotics kit and certificate.
• two teams ( 4+4 ) selected for IIT Bombay e-yantra-2018 – competition
• two students selected for Microsoft student partner programme – 2018
• one team ( 6-students + 2 faculty mentors ) stood in 8th position in all India level competition AICTE – smart India Hackathon – 2017 conducted in Chandigarh in march 2017
• 24 - faculty members registered for IUCEE epics - design thinking course conducting by Purdue university, USA and working epics projects
• five – students selected for Google developer club – USA
• one student selected for boot camp conducted by Google, Microsoft and SAP on 15th November 2017 in Bengaluru
• one faculty selected for Google Train-The-Trainers programme on Android conducted by Google – Delhi
